Our recent cultural day out took us to the wonderful Victoria Miro Gallery in London, where our group spent the afternoon exploring two inspiring exhibitions: Shahzia Sikander: High Seas; Closed Skies and NS Harsha: Camel and the Tent Times. Both exhibitions invited thoughtful conversations around storytelling, identity, movement and the many ways artists respond to the world through contemporary art. (Victoria Miro)
Following our gallery visit, we enjoyed some time in Victoria Miro's beautiful waterside sculpture garden. Surrounded by art and nature, we stopped for a cup of coffee before taking out our sketchbooks for a relaxed live drawing session. Drawing together outdoors gave everyone the opportunity to slow down, observe, and respond creatively to the inspiring surroundings.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Victoria Miro for their warm welcome, generosity and ongoing collaboration. We are especially grateful for taking the time to introduce the exhibitions, sharing the concepts and contexts behind the artworks, and making contemporary art feel accessible and engaging for our participants. Their kindness and enthusiasm helped make the visit a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved. (Victoria Miro)
