Free Community Art Sessions in Islington
The Art Laboratory is a free weekly community art hub at Whittington Community Centre, offering a welcoming space where creativity, connection and wellbeing come together.

FREE access to all art materials, books, tea, coffee and refreshments.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, everyone is welcome. Simply drop in or become a regular member, there’s no booking required, just come as you are.
Our sessions are designed to encourage creativity, build confidence and create meaningful social connections through art. We especially welcome adults who may be feeling isolated, lonely, neurodivergent, living with long-term health conditions, or simply looking for a friendly and supportive creative community.
Each week we explore different artistic techniques and materials in a relaxed, inclusive environment where everyone can work at their own pace. Our experienced facilitators are always on hand to offer guidance, encouragement and a cup of tea.
